Valentine’s weekend in Fiskars

The Tourist Information will be open at the Old Fire Station on 14–15 February from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.

You’re warmly welcome to admire the restored, love-red Stutz fire engine as well as the carefully renovated and charming fire station building.

The atmosphere is made even more delightful by the fire station’s lovely canine guests.

Our staff will be on hand to help and share tips on how to celebrate Valentine’s Day in Fiskars.

Kirkkonummi’s Friend Dogs will be visiting the fire station on Saturday, 14 February, from 12:00 to 2:00.

Come and pet the dogs and say hi!

During the Valentine’s Day walk on 14 February, we will explore Fiskars Village together with a guide. The walk is open to everyone and starts at the Old Fire Station at 12:00. The tour lasts approximately one hour.

Relax after the day in The Torby Hotel’s cozy lounge by the fireplace with a cup of hot cocoa or a glass of bubbly.

For overnight guests, a small chocolate greeting awaits in the room.

On Valentine’s Day, 14 February, Minja K will host a collaborative sculpture workshop where visitors can try carving wood one at a time for a few minutes. Each participant creates a part of the shared artwork titled “Together as Friends.”

The piece is a collective creation where every sculptor leaves their own mark — together something truly unique is formed.

During Valentine’s weekend, 13–15 February, a Valentine’s-themed blacksmithing workshop will be held where you and a friend can try your hand at forging. In the smithy, you will create heart pendants and key rings.

Guided forging sessions are available from Friday to Sunday in groups starting at 12:00 and 15:00.

Sashiko Embroidery – 14 February in Fiskars

SeriMeri Studio & Atelier

Sashiko is a traditional Japanese embroidery technique that is calm and almost meditative.

In this workshop, you will learn the basics of sashiko embroidery. The technique is based on simple running stitches that create even, rhythmic patterns. Traditionally, sashiko has been used in patchwork and to mend and reinforce clothing.

Sashiko is usually embroidered on cotton fabric, but the technique also works well on other materials. The workshop is perfect for beginners and requires no prior experience.

Free Entry to the KWUM Museum on Valentine’s Day

On Valentine’s Day, you can enjoy KWUM’s beautiful winter exhibition free of charge.

The KWUM Ceramics Museum is open from 12:00 to 5:00 pm.

Fiskars Old Mill has recently been restored and was opened to the public in the summer of 2025.

During Valentine’s weekend, you have the opportunity to explore this unique and historic building on your own.

Fiskars Veterinary Clinic is open on Friday, 13 February from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and offers all furry friends a free dental check performed by a veterinarian (regular price €75) with no appointment required.

In addition, our veterinary nurse will trim your pet’s nails free of charge if you wish.

Come and spend a pleasant day in the beautiful surroundings of Fiskars Village with your pet and get to know Fiskars’ own veterinary clinic at the same time.

If needed, your pet can also receive vaccinations — please remember to bring your pet’s vaccination card. Vaccinations are charged according to the price list.

After your visit, you can continue the day by enjoying a walk with your dog along Fiskars’ lovely forest trails.

Surprise yourself and your loved ones with a touch of old-fashioned cinema magic at Fiskars’ Assembly Hall!

On Saturday, 14 February, the Assembly Hall will be filled with friendship, love, the scent of freshly baked treats, and two classic films:

2:00 pm – Casablanca (1942, running time 102 min)
4:30 pm – The Breakfast Club (1985, running time 97 min)

Films were shown in the Assembly Hall from 1947 to 1970, and now this historic cinema opens its doors once again to celebrate love, friendship, and togetherness.

Doors open at 1:30 pm.

At 1:45 pm, a history guide will introduce the event by telling the story of the Assembly Hall and its importance to the local community. Come and enjoy an interesting introduction and learn more about the building’s history.

You can enjoy non-alcoholic drinks from the Knife Factory Brewery and freshly baked treats from the Fiskars School Association café during the screenings.
