Galleria360, Onoma
Sensitivity, tenderness, joy, sorrow, consolation, loss – love takes many forms. In the pop-up exhibition by the members of Onoma, the diversity of love materializes in works created using a variety of changing techniques. The 12 artists participating in the exhibition each bring their own interpretation of one manifestation of love.
The works in the exhibition form a collection of parallel experiences that may be in conflict with one another. The works approach love both from up close and from a distance: as an intimate and bodily experience, but also as a conceptual, societal, and idealistic one. The worn-out, flattened concept and aesthetics of love produced by capitalism and entertainment culture are examined through a critical lens in the exhibition.
The exhibiting artists are Viivi Varesvuo, Lea Sarasjoki, Saara Paatero-Burtsov, Ron Nordström, Rowan Mena, Outi Karikivi, Lulu Halme, Tapio Elevant, Anna Inkeri Björklund, Olga Angove, Päivi Alajuntti and Eeva-Kaisa Ailus.
