KWUM – Karin Widnäs

KWUM means dream in Korean – in Fiskars it means the museum of Karin Widnäs.

The architecture of the museum combines wood and ceramics in a wonderful way. It is an example of the use of ceramics in architecture. The museum’s architect is Professor Tuomo Siitonen, who has also created Studio Widnäs, the artist’s combined home, with a workspace and gallery.

In addition to the permanent exhibitions, the museum largely includes Karin Widnäs’ own collections, as well as works by other Finnish and foreign ceramic artists in changing exhibitions.

KWUM exhibitions can be found on our Events and exhibitions -page.
