The peaceful atmosphere at Hotel Torby and the open fireplace in the lounge invite you to relax! To celebrate the winter break season, we are offering a free sauna session for hotel guests (valid until March 31, 2025).

See and do

Fiskars museum winterquiz – Did you know that both skates and kick sledges have been manufactured at Fiskars Village? Or that the area was once a lively spot for skiing and ski jumping? During the winter break, from February 17–23, Fiskars Museum invites you to a week full of history and winter fun! Come in and explore fascinating exhibitions and test your knowledge in our winter sports quiz. A small reward awaits all participants.

KWUM’s winter exhibition: “Domestic Clay” – Clay is a versatile material with thousands of uses and in Finland, it is literally under our feet. The traditional red clay can be found along lake and river shores, on fields, and in ditches. KWUM’s winter exhibition brings together works by several ceramic artists who work with red clay, highlighting its significance in the world of ceramics.

Winter break activities at the Old Knife Factory – Today, something entirely different from Fiskars knives is made at the Old Knife Factory. The Old Knife Factory is home to Fiskars Brewery, Ägräs Distillery, and Noita Winery – a place where production meets bar, restaurant, and beverage shop.

During the winter break, Veitsitehdas invites all visitors to exciting events:

  • 15.2. Guided tour and tasting 2PM (in Finnish)
  • 22.2. Mono Kara-Åke (Karaoke)

Guided tour of the ironworks – Explore Fiskars Village and its industrial history, as well as today’s creative community, on a guided tour! The knowledgeable guides will lead you through the village, sharing stories and facts from times past. The tour is suitable for families, small groups, and groups of up to 30 people. The tour lasts 45 minutes to an hour and can be booked at a time that suits you.

Shops and studios – In the Fiskars area, there are a dozen or so shops and studios where you can observe designers and craftsmen at work, as well as purchase unique products made in Fiskars, such as jewelry, interior design objects, clothing, coffee and tea, and art. In Fiskars, there are several dining options where you can enjoy coffee, sweet and savory snacks, lunch, and dinner. During the winter break, the following places will be open:

Arrival and tips for your visit

Fiskars Village is located between Helsinki and Turku and is easy to reach by car. Our park area with historic buildings is always open. During the winter break, the village has restaurants, cafés, museums, shops, and studios open for visitors.
