Konstrundan Fiskars

Every year, Konstrundan opens the doors to hundreds of artists’ studios, workshops and creative spaces across Finland. For one weekend in September, artists, craftspeople, designers and artist residencies invite the public to discover their work.
The next Konstrundan will take place on 5–6 September 2026. One of the event’s main goals is to create meaningful encounters between creative professionals and visitors.
Participants
Sara Råholm
Sarah Råholm is a textile artist who lives and works in Fiskars. Her work is strongly inspired by nature and mythology. Råholm graduated as a textile artisan in 2022 and has since explored traditional Finnish textiles and the possibilities of dyeing with natural dyes.
Her work explores the forms and ecology of fungi and plants, as well as the colours that can be derived from them. Råholm’s ryijy rugs are traditionally woven on a loom. The process is slow and ritualistic, using techniques with deep historical roots.

Rowan Mena
The Fiskars Printmakers’ Association is a community-based printmaking studio offering access to and instruction in relief printing and etching.
Make your own print at the Fiskars Printmakers’ Association during Konstrundan! You can create a linocut print using the etching press or make a Fiskars Clock Tower postcard using the relief printing press.

Katja Öhrnberg
Visual artist Katja Öhrnberg has worked with painting, sculpture, environmental art and community art for thirty years. In recent years, she has created eco-active art using recycled household plastics together with performance artist Marko Kaiponen as the artist duo Materiaalivirtaa.
Her home studio will feature paintings and sculptures made from recycled plastic, as well as photographs of eco-active performances. During Konstrundan, the artist duo will work on a landscape painting using recycled household plastics. There will also be a performance at 2 PM on both days.

Hanna Hirvonen
Hanna Hirvonen is a metal artisan and a blacksmith graduating in autumn 2026. A career change led her to explore her creativity, and during her studies she developed a particular passion for steel and shaping it through forging. Botanical themes and sensitivity often appear in her work, alongside a playful and wild creative side.
In her work, Hirvonen explores both her own boundaries and those set by the material. Her art emerges intuitively, often through a sense of flow or guidance, with joy, passion, trust, presence and love playing an important role. Once completed, her works almost always take on a story of their own, connected to her personal growth and journey through life.
At the Fiskars Village forge, you can meet the artist, explore the blacksmith’s workshop and discover the craft of forging, along with hand-forged objects, crafts and artworks.

Marko Kaiponen
Marko Kaiponen is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans architecture, drawing, sculpture, installations and performance. Across these different forms, his practice explores alternative ways of living in Finland. He has participated in art exhibitions since 1987 and presented his first performance in 1997. In recent years, he has created eco-active art using recycled household plastics together with painter Katja Öhrnberg as the artist duo Materiaalivirtaa.

Eeva-Kaisa
Eeva-Kaisa Ailus is a visual artist who began her art studies in Stockholm in 1981. She studied at Svenska Konstskolan in Nykarleby from 1983 to 1985, at Ekenäs hantverk- och konstindustriskola from 1993 to 1995, graduating as a weaving artisan, and at Turku Arts Academy from 2010 to 2012, earning a Bachelor of Culture and Arts in Fine Arts.
Ailus has held solo exhibitions since 1987 and has actively participated in group and collective exhibitions. She paints with a coarse brush and boldly combines different materials. Her colourful palette is often infused with a touch of humour.

Daniel Enckell
Daniel Enckell is a visual artist working in Raseborg, primarily in the field of painting. After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts from 1983 to 1987, he has worked full-time as a visual artist, focusing on painting. His artistic practice centres on depicting the human figure in allegorical and symbolic contexts, exploring the relationship between the individual and the surrounding reality.
Enckell has created exhibitions, commissioned works and performances both independently and in collaboration with other artists. His career includes participation in national and international group exhibitions. His artistic practice has been supported by grants, private patrons, private teaching and specialised training in performative painting.
During Konstrundan:
Coffee and tea with light refreshments will be served, and Daniel Enckell will present his art.
