Welcome to experience spring in Fiskars Village! Fiskars Village Garden & Family Day offers inspiration for the whole family in a beautiful setting. For adults, there will be tips on gardening, and for children, fun activities await. Meet Fiskars’ design director Petteri Masalin and get his best advice on how to choose the right gardening tools.

Program

• 11.00AM Lectures by the Garden Association at the Assembly Hall (Fiskarsvägen 312)
  • Peony Society: Planting and growing of peonies
  • The Garden Association: 100 years of gardening
• 12.00PM Fiskars’ design director Petteri Masalin presents the most important gardening tools of the spring and shares tips on how to use them at the Old Fire Station (Gästerbyvägen 1).
• 12.00PM The garden Ruusupapu organizes a planting workshop for children at the Old Fire Station (Gästerbyvägen 1). The station is open until 4:00 PM.
• 12.00PM At the market stalls:
  • Peony Society (planting and care of peonies, as well as sale of roots and seeds)
  • Dream Garden (presents garden design, garden construction, and gardening)
  • The Garden Society
• 13.00PM Fiskars’ design director Petteri Masalin is at the Fiskars store presenting Fiskars gardening tools.
• 13PM – 13.30PM Ruusupapu is holding a lecture at the Old Fire Station (Gästerbyvägen 1).
• 13.30PM – 15.30PM Invasive species control – welcome to join the fight against the spread of invasive species! The workgroup will depart from Fiskars Square (by the red market stalls). Feel free to join for a while or stay for the entire event!

After the day’s program around the village, we’ll continue with an afterparty at the Knifefactory bar.
