Events and Happenings in the Village for September and October

This fall, the village is bustling with events that cater to every mood and interest. Bikes, burgers & beers is back this fall and will be held at the old Knife Factory on Saturday 7.9.24 11-17. Along with the trails, there will be theme-based food, drinks, bikes, and more.

The Fiskars Village team invites you to a gardening event 9.9.24, where we bring together the community for an afternoon. At the event, you’ll have the opportunity to explore Fiskars garden tools and the 375-year-old Fiskars ironworks. Professionals will be present at the event to provide guidance on gardening and the use of tools. A delicious harvest season soup lunch will be available for 100 volunteers.

The KWUM Studio Ceramics summer exhibitions 2024 is open until 29.9. The exhibition features glass sculptures designed by artist Björn Weckström and ceramic works created in collaboration with Karin Widnäs. The private collections from Kupittaan Savi, Magic Islands works and Collected are also on display.

Fabric Landscapes at VS Gallery 7.9-6.10. In this exhibition, Deepa Panchamia brings together a series of works to create a site-specific installation—a fabric landscape inspired by the changing seasons and the arrival of autumn. Crafted from a range of materials, including silks, linens, cottons, and leathers, the installation is handmade using various fabric manipulation techniques.

Wellbeing, art & science in Puimala 20-21.9. Fisufest is an event that invites you to be present with you core self and find your way to inner leadership through art, science and wellbeing. Welcome to different workshops, and creative spaces where music, movement, rhythm and arts combine to form a truly unique experience. Dive in and learn new kinds of skills for your own professional growth.

Shamanic Drum Journey every Staurday morning at 11am at the Temple of Binah. Immerse yourself in the rhythmic beat of the drum, guiding you into a deep, meditative state where you can connect with your inner self.

Sacred Dance at the Temple of Binah every second Thursday between 18:30-21:00. Each session will feature a unique theme, guiding you through a transformative journey of movement and self-discovery.

The Eternal Forest Exhibition at the Fiskars Museum. How has the forest changed in the vicinity of Fiskars Ironworks over the course of 375? This question is answered by the new thematic exhibition at the Fiskars Museum, “The Eternal Forest”. The exhibition examines the use of the forest in ironworks operations, changes in forestry management, and forest workers. The exhibition celebrates the 375-year history of the Ironworks.

The Old Knife Factory is organizing guided tours in their beverage production. The tours of the fall will be held every other Saturday. Come and find out how they brew beer, distill mighty ones, and make native wines at the old knife factory premises. During the tour you will enjoy drink tastings from all the producers of the house. Slow Food Festival 5-6.10. An event featuring autumn harvest, locally sourced flavors, and crafts from Uusimaa and Southwest Finland. At the festival, you can treat yourself, stock your pantry, meet food producers, attend lectures on food culture, have lunch in the Slow Food Court, or just stroll around the picturesque village of Fiskars.
