The first joint exhibition by artist and cabinetmaker Minja Kolehmainen and photographic artist Tan Vuong explores the theme of CONNECTION.
The exhibition brings together photographic art, wooden sculptures, and people.
The connection to ourselves and to nature has been lost, and we must reclaim it – otherwise, we will die before we ever truly live.
Without connection, we are born and run straight into the grave.
This exhibition invites you to explore connection to something greater – something that is hard to put into words, but easier to express through art.
Kolehmainen is a nomadic artist who has, for the past four years, lived and worked in a small camper van, which she has transformed into both a sculpture studio and a home. She creates large-scale installations and sculptures for public and private spaces. Her works convey peace, hope, comfort, and courage.
Vuong is a Helsinki-based photographer, media and photography director, and photographic artist. In his work, Vuong explores the illusion between dystopia and reality. He discovered photography as a form of self-expression by chance in 2022, when he captured an image of a usually busy street appearing completely empty. That moment changed the way he sees the world around him.
