The Eternal Forest -exhibition at the Fiskars Museum
How has the forest changed in the vicinity of Fiskars Ironworks over the course of 375 years? This question is answered by the new thematic exhibition at the Fiskars Museum, “The Eternal Forest.” The exhibition examines the use of the forest in ironworks operations, changes in forestry management, and forest workers. As we approach modern times, the focus shifts to the recreational use of forests. Did you know that the workers at the Ironworks had their own summer cottage already in the late 1800s? In the exhibition, visitors can try on outfits related to the forest, and there are hands-on activities for the youngest family members. The exhibition celebrates the 375-year history of the Ironworks.
