Harvest season in the village

Autumn is Approaching and the Harvest Season is Here!

Autumn has arrived, bringing the joy of the harvest season to the village of Fiskars. This means numerous events focused on dining, drinking, and handcrafts. Join us in enjoying the flavors of autumn in our village restaurants, participating in various events, and admiring the beautiful fall colors in Fiskars.

Local Food for the Harvest Table – Flavors of the Land at Fiskars Lukaali

The Flavors of the Land food event, which has been held since 2010, invites once again enthusiasts of local food to Fiskars. At the event, you can buy local products directly from the producers to take home, or taste the flavors of late summer on the spot.

Small producers offer a range of products including vegetables, meat, grain, honey, fish, sausages, cheeses, garlic, jams, ferments, preserves, bread, pastries, and locally roasted coffees. The event also features a selection of international flavors – European cheeses and Italian specialties.

In addition to local food, the harvest Flavors of the Land includes handicrafts and treats at a pop-up café, and local grilled game sausages are also on offer. The event is free for all visitors.

Autumn Harvest at the Slow Food Festival

The Slow Food Festival in September offers local flavors and artisanal foods from Uusimaa and Southwest Finland. Meet food producers, participate in lectures on food culture, or stroll around Fiskars Ironworks. This festival is being held for the thirteenth time this year and attracts thousands of visitors annually.

Noita Winery’s Harvest Festival at the Knife Factory

The event at the Knife Factory is dedicated to natural wine and celebrating the harvest season.

Knife Factory Visitor Center

At Fiskars’ old Knife Factory, artisanal drinks are being produced by Fiskars Brewery, Ägräs Distillery, Noita Winery, and Suomenlinna Brewery. On the tasting tour, you can learn about brewing, distilling, and winemaking. You also get to enjoy three alcoholic beverage tastings.

The Knife Factory also features a drink shop, a bar, and a restaurant, where the kitchen’s magic knife team conjures up delicious dishes. The highlight of the new menu is a thin beef fillet, chanterelles, and juniper mayonnaise, which pairs perfectly with the classic beer “Spirit of the Forest.”
