TUULI SOTAMAA & MINJA K
Artist and designer Tuuli Sotamaa will be a guest at Minja K’s exhibition space. Tuuli brings with her worlds where reality and imagination merge seamlessly. Her delicate and detailed drawings are like whispers, revealing themselves only when one takes the time to truly see and listen. Tuuli’s work reflects a deep love and respect for nature — a defense of plants, animals, and the diversity of life. Her art invites the viewer to notice what often goes unseen in the rush of everyday life.
Artist and cabinetmaker Minja Kolehmainen’s hand-carved wooden pieces are born from a close connection with nature and an exploration of her inner world. They are conversations between wood and human, carrying peace, comfort, and courage within them. Some of the works are made to be touched, allowing the viewer to experience more deeply the healing power of wood — and at the same time, to come closer to themselves and the nature around them.
Minja’s and Tuuli’s works engage in a dialogue: in one pair of hands, wood transforms into sculptures infused with the solace of water and the serenity of trees; in the other, nature gains new imaginative dimensions, intricate stories, and images that make the invisible visible. Together, their works form a whole that invites you to pause and look more deeply at life — at the wonders of nature and at your own inner landscape.
